The year 2020 has now arrived and with it comes the latest kitchen trends. Here are a few popular trends to look out for in 2020 for your next kitchen renovation.
VJ Groove
During 2019 we saw panel look cabinetry become extremely popular in both country stale and modern style kitchens. This cabinet can be painted any colour and the texture in the the door profile provides a subtle highlight to the space. We expect this trend to continue into 2020.
Feature handles
Over the past 12 months we have seen a decline in push to open cabinetry with more customers opting for feature handles in the kitchen and laundry and home office. Push to open cabinetry was in high demand but we are n ow seeing more feature handles and knobs being incorporated into many designs. Deluxe handles are often used in cottage and farmhouse style kitchens. However we are also seeing plenty of other handle types in chrome, gold, black or even timber finishes.
Profile Doors
We anticipate that profile doors will also be a popular choice in 2020. The Namdor profile is a classic design and is very popular among our customers. This type of profile is very classic and is unlikely to date over time so we expect it will be a popular choice for many years to come. Tongue and groove profiles such as our VJ Groove has also been a popular choice.
Drawer Warmer & Steam Ovens
Many new kitchen’s we have been installing, particularly in new homes many of them now feature the standard oven as well as a warming drawer or a steam oven. These are great additions particularly if you like to entertain as food can always be kept warm. The steam oven is great for keeping moisture in food so therefore, it is great food reheating as they help eliminate food from drying out.
