Scandinavian Kitchen

The kitchen is a great feature in an open plan space with the living and dining area.  The lower cabinetry has been completed in Egger melamine Perfect Sense in the colour Graphite Grey.  Perfect Sense provides special finger print free technology which is perfect for cabinetry colours, which, easily show marks.  The overhead cabinetry has been completed in VJ groove also commonly known as “tongue and groove” cabinetry, which, has been painted in Dulux Vivid White.  This “tongue and groove” effect of the VJ board provides a panel look to the cabinetry adding texture to the space.  One of the biggest features is the Flemish Essential Oak used for all the interior of the cabinetry, which, provides a gorgeous wood grain timber finish to the cabinets.  The wood grain interior also works well with the timber handles and knobs by Kethy.  The spacious butler’s pantry also featuring Flemish Essential Oak has a gorgeous barn style sliding door, completed the same VJ board as the white overhead cabinets.  The bench tops have been completed in Caesarstone’s Cloudburst Concrete a gorgeous but neutral tone to tie the room together seamlessly.

The laundry has been completed in an almost identical colour scheme as the kitchen using Polytec’s Melamine cinder and Flemish Essential Oak for the interior.  A timber finish for the bench top is a gorgeous highlight in the Kitchen Centre’s own Evola Minnestoa Oak Natural laminate.  A powder Coated hanging rail has also been included for hanging clothes.

The office cabinetry also ties in with the rest of the theme and colour tones of the rest of the cabinetry. The overhead open shelving has been completed in Flemish Essential Oak with the lower cabinetry completed in Polytec’s Cinder.  The wood grain finish of the bench top in Evola Minnestoa Oak Natural also adds colour and texture to the rest of the cabinetry.

The walk in robe, and kids play area has also been completed in the same colour as the rest of the main cabinetry.  We especially love the Flemish Essential Oak used for the wardrobe exterior in the kids playroom.

We love the style of the cabinetry and the colour and texture it provides this wonderful Scandinavian inspired home.  This cabinetry was designed by Jullian Rodman at the Launceston Kitchen Centre.
